Dr. Andrea Cosentino has been a member of the medical team at the Dolomiti Sportclinic since 2025, after gaining several years of valuable experience in the operating room at our clinic as assistant to the chief surgeon. His work is characterized by high professional competence, strong dedication, and a compassionate approach to patient care. His main areas of focus include orthopedics and traumatology, as well as the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions in children.

Career
- Born in Rome on 2 April 1989.
- Graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” in July 2014.
Thesis title: “Knee stability and athletic performance after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction: comparison between anteromedial and transtibial techniques.” - Licensed to practise Medicine and Surgery at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata”.
- Completed specialist training in Orthopaedics and Traumatology in April 2025 at Merano Hospital, following the Austrian training model.
- PhD Candidate in Medical Science at Paracelsus Medical University.
Research focus: “Investigation of the role of hypovitaminosis D and obesity in paediatric patients with fractures in South Tyrol.” - Holder of several professional certifications, including: FIFA Medical Diploma, EPOS BAT Instructional Course Trilogy, and certification in neonatal hip ultrasound according to the Graf method.
- Speaker at numerous national Italian conferences.
